About Me

Hi, I’m Truman O’Brien, a mechanical engineering student at the University of California, Berkeley, with a focus on electro-mechanical systems, computational modeling, and hands-on prototyping. Some of my academic and project work includes high-performance battery system design, the simulation of complex physical systems, and architecture.

Currently, I’m co-leading a research project in the Kamrin Group to optimize photoelastic force estimation algorithms for granular flow studies. I’m also a co-founder of the BEAM, an arts oriented community maker space in Oakland, CA.
